ThrYve works closely with Kansas City, Kansas community hospitals, schools, and neighborhood organizations to provide violence intervention programming to our youth.
Three schools involved in prevention programming include Carl Bruce Middle School, Sumner Academy, and Wyandotte High School. At each school, members of ThrYve’s staff offer students conflict resolution training, mediation, and other student or school-specific offerings.
Area hospitals also work with us through the REVIVE (Reducing the Effects of Violence through Intervention and Victim Empowerment) program where youth admitted to the ER due to violence-related injuries are connected with our program. We then work with other community members to provide a network of support.
