ThrYve promotes through ongoing collaborations with community partners to provide a network of support for youth and families. As a multi-component approach, ThrYve works comprehensively to reduce risk factors and increase protective factors to prevent and reduce youth violence.
Youth violence is a complex problem with a large societal impact. Because of this, addressing it requires behavior change of multiple individuals and groups simultaneously across multiple sectors of the community (e.g. law enforcement, health organizations, businesses, schools, etc).
Through multi-sectoral engagement, ThrYve uses a community-based participatory approach to assure diverse representation of the community to guide our efforts, including the active engagement of youth.
In our collective approach to modify the systems that affect youth and offer programming to aid them, we aim to continuously identify and maintain partnerships throughout Wyandotte County.
