The Community Health Council of Wyandotte County and Historic Northeast-Midtown Association would like everyone to join us for a “What’s on Your Plate: Community Speak Out” event that will be hosted on Saturday, September 28, at the Community Health Council of Wyandotte County (803 Armstrong Avenue, Kansas City, KS 66101) from 9:30am-12:00pm.
“What’s on Your Plate: Community Speak Out” is an event where you can learn more about what happens if programs like WIC, SNAP and school meal programs go away. This year, a new version of the Child Nutrition Reauthorization is being worked on in Congress and there could be changes to school meal programs like the free and reduced lunch program.
At the event you would be able to learn more, share stories about why these programs matter and enjoy snacks. There were will be activities for all ages. It is free and you can RSVP by calling Ricardo at (913) 579-5426. Please RSVP to attend this important and fun event!
