YOU will be heard! Our team at the Vera Institute of Justice is excited to work with the
community in Wyandotte County to better understand YOUR experiences with the criminal legal
system. While reform attempts exist—for example, “conviction integrity units” in the offices of
District Attorneys—they rarely consider the broader effects of the criminal legal system on
families, neighborhoods, and communities. Our goal is not just to “improve” the system, but to
shrink its overall footprint. We want to hear from YOU about the reforms that YOU would like to
prioritize for change.
Please come to Vera’s 2.5-hour remote information session (via Zoom) on Friday, January 15, 2021,
3:30-6pm CST. To register for the session, please click here.
Participation is entirely voluntary. While we recommend attending for the full 2.5 hours, you are
free to join or leave the information session at any time. Registered attendees will receive a onetime gift card in the value of $20. Your registration information will be used solely for the
purpose of sending out the gift cards. We will not store your personal information.
